Lonny Wiebe

I currently live in the Bulkley Valley in beautiful Telkwa, BC. I am married to a beautiful wife named Charlotte and we have a 19 year old daughter and twin 16 year old boys. I work in the Financial Services industry where I currently
manage a community market consisting of four seperate retail bank branches. I have been with the same industry and company for over 27 years and my company is very supportive of my passion and journey with Kin. That leads me to my career with Kin. I first joined Kin through the Vanderhoof Kinsmen in 1997 and within a few months was on the club executive. As with many of us long tenured Kin, I’ve had experience with every club level position available through my time in Kin. President and Treasurer have been the most commonly held club level positions during my duration. I moved to Mackenzie in 2005 where I transferred to the Mackenzie Kin Club, returned to Vanderhoof Kinsmen in 2012, and transferred to the Bulkley Valley Kinsmen in 2019. It wasn’t until 2013 when I finally came to the
stage in my life where I was able to make the commitment at a District level as Deputy Governor, followed by a term as District Treasurer, a 2nd term as Deputy Governor, a term as District Secretary, and just finished two consecutive terms as
District Governor. During my time as a Director on the Kinsmen Foundation of BC board during my term as Governor, I had the opportunity to see first hand all the amazing things this Foundation does and the many lives positively impacted. It really opened my eyes as to how important it is for us as Kin to continue supporting and growing our Foundation to ensure we continue maximizing our potential. The applications for assistance far exceeds the resources we have and as such, we must do whatever we can to meet the growing demand. I take great pride in being on the board and offering my assistance wherever possible. I have always had a strong passion for Kin and the Kinsmen Foundation of BC, and am so very grateful for the opportunity to serve on the board int this capacity.
